If you were employed by a company which is now insolvent and you are owed wages, accrued holiday pay, notice pay or redundancy payment, you will be able to submit a claim to the Redundancy Payments Office, part of the Insolvency Service. Generally, they are able to pay: -

All payments are subject to a statutory maximum weekly wage which is currently £380 (prior to 1 October 2009 it was £350).

Claims for other payments, such as Statutory Sick Pay, Maternity Pay and Paternity Pay, are handled by HM Revenue & Customs. The required forms can be obtained from JobCentres.
