Ian has extensive experience and knowledge in all aspects of Corporate Insolvency and Business Turnaround. Acting on behalf of Directors, Banks, Asset based lenders or Finance companies, Ian is as determined by the facts of each particular matter.
Ian gained over 15 years Corporate Insolvency experience with Begbies Traynor and PricewaterhouseCoopers, before establishing Jones Lowndes Dwyer LLP (‘jld’) in 2005.
His objective is to achieve satisfaction for all parties, providing down to earth, friendly advice for every situation. Ian’s aim in establishing jld was to provide bespoke Partner-led solutions with a friendly, hands-on approach to resolving difficult situations.
Ian’s recent work includes:-

Acting for and advising a board of Directors on the restructuring and disposal through Administration of a substantial Motor Dealership chain, preserving both the core business and also the employment of its staff.

Advising a national pub chain on the disposal of loss making sites through Liquidation, whilst restructuring the profitable elements of the group.

Acting for numerous haulage and logistic Companies providing solutions through Administration and Liquidation proceedings.

Restructuring a heating engineering Company, preserving jobs with a new management team.

Advising an owner managed business on the winding up of a large construction company.
Other areas of expertise include professional practices, retailers, engineering and manufacturing.
